Experience You Can See. Craftmanship You Can Trust.

Founded January 2026. Owner-operated from day one.

Manuel Landa and Elizabeth Garcia left established careers in aviation to build the paint shop they always dreamed of running. Based at Rigby Airport (U56) in Eastern Idaho, Hawkeye exists to serve the general aviation community with a level of craftsmanship and client communication that the region has been missing.

Manuel has painted 96+ aircraft — Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, Mooney, Van's RV, Air Tractor, Commander, rotorcraft, and light jets. Elizabeth managed an aircraft paint facility before co-founding Hawkeye, bringing the operational discipline that makes deadlines real and estimates honest.

Small shop. Direct access. No middlemen. Call us and you reach the people holding the spray gun.

Lead Painter & Co-Founder

Manuel founded Hawkeye with a vision for building something meaningful in aviation — a shop where big-picture thinking and hands-on craftsmanship work together on every aircraft that comes through the door.

Over the course of his career, he has personally painted 96+ aircraft across a wide range of types and configurations — Cessna 100 and 200 series, Beechcraft Bonanza and Baron, Piper singles and twins, Mooney, Van's RV, Air Tractor, Commander, rotorcraft, and light business jets. That breadth of experience means he has encountered nearly every substrate, construction method, and paint challenge that general aviation aircraft can present.

His approach is methodical and unhurried. He believes a paint job is only as good as the preparation beneath it — which is why every aircraft he touches is stripped, prepped, and primed to a higher standard before a single coat of color is sprayed. Every aircraft that leaves this shop reflects his standard.

Elizabeth co-founded Hawkeye with a focus on what makes a paint shop actually work — clear communication, honest estimates, and schedules that hold. Having managed an aircraft paint facility before launching Hawkeye, she brings the operational discipline that separates a professional shop from a hobby operation.

At Hawkeye, Elizabeth handles client communications, project scheduling, estimating, and quality oversight — so that Manuel can focus entirely on the work in front of him, and you always know exactly where your aircraft stands. She connects every owner to the right solution, with clarity and without the runaround.

When you call or email Hawkeye, you're reaching Elizabeth directly.

WHY WE STARTED HAWKEYE AEROCOATINGS LLC

We started Hawkeye because Eastern Idaho’s general aviation pilots deserved a local option that didn’t require shipping or flying their aircraft across two or more states and waiting months for a slot. We’re here, we’re accessible, and we treat every aircraft the way we’d want our own treated — with care, precision, and total transparency from the first call to final delivery.
